Description
The 5.45x39mm US gs round contains a subsonic 5.1-gram bullet with a pointed tungsten carbide core over a lead base enclosed in a bimetallic jacket. It is housed in a steel case with a reduced charge. This US cartridge was developed by TsNIITochMash in the mid-80s for use in the AKS-74UB and AKS-74UBN.
