Mosin-Nagant (Sniper)
Description
The sniper variant of the Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30, employed by Soviet snipers during World War 11, underwent several modifications for precision shooting. Notably, the rifle featured a modified bott design to prevent interference with the telescopic sight and two holes in the upper receiver for mounting the sight securely. Despite these alterations, the sniper variant retained the same basic operating mechanism and chambering as the standard infantry rifle. With an extended effective range and enhanced accuracy, it played a vital role in Soviet sniping operations during the war.
